Ground Improvement

KATL provides ground improvement solutions to enhance soil strength, stiffness, and stability for construction on poor or variable subsurface conditions. Our techniques mitigate settlement, increase bearing capacity, and accelerate consolidation, reducing project risk and improving constructability.

Rigid Inclusions (RIs)

Rigid inclusions are grouted columns installed to reinforce weak soils and transfer loads to deeper competent strata. They reduce settlement and improve overall foundation performance.

Deep Soil Mixing (DSM)

DSM improves soil properties by mechanically blending in-situ soils with cementitious binders to create soil-cement columns. This technique increases strength, reduces permeability, and stabilizes soft ground.

Stone Columns

Stone columns densify loose soils and provide drainage paths to improve bearing capacity and reduce settlement. They are commonly used beneath embankments, tanks, and shallow foundations.

Wick Drains

Prefabricated vertical wick drains accelerate consolidation of soft cohesive soils by shortening drainage paths, reducing construction time and post-construction settlement.
